This is a stunning handmade vintage Persian Tabriz in mint condition. The rug is very fine quality, made with soft, fine quality wool, natural dyes and exquisite craftsmanship.  The Tabriz design has the most exquisite intricate details in a glorious array of colors, with concentric borders leading to a central medallion. It is a classic traditional design, where the details and colors emerge as you get closer. The background colors shift with each concentric layer, providing an elegant canvas for tiny repeating floral and vine and other delicate motifs in more colors than we could possibly name. The central geometric medallion is ivory, followed by a layer of red wine, then a layer of violet blue, which leads to unexpected teal green corners before the red wine border for perfect symmetry.  The accent colors include mint green, ballet slipper pink, lemonade pink, sky blue, copper, sapphire blue, periwinkle blue, lavender, midnight blue and countless others.  Note the delicate necklace like detailing that separates each section.  The red wine border with its elegant garland of geometric flowers on the vine in all of the rug's divine colors is the perfect finishing touch to this wonderful piece.  Size: 9'11"x12'8"
