This is a stunning top quality vintage Persian Heriz with classic Heriz details and vibrant, rich colors. This rug was handmade in the 1980's with a prominent geoemtric central medallion that is a hallmark of Persian Heriz rugs.  It is extremely fine quality, with a thick soft full pile that is made from fine quality wool.  It can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations.  What brings this rug to life is the incredible array of intricate details and the remarkable vibrant colors that really pop. Each layer is resplendent with vivid colors that dance in tribal patterns. The medallion at the heart of the rug is a striking sapphire blue with pink, ivory, pomegranate and taupe accents.  This is surrounded by a layer of cherry red and then midnight blue, each one decorated with colorful small leaf motifs.  The next layer returns to the rich cherry red in a large diamond-like shape, full of the beautiful tribal leaf and other geometric motifs in all of the above accent colors plus silver, royal blue, shell pink, bubble gum pink, burgundy and countless others.  The corners are ivory, lightening and brightening the rug and picking up on the other ivory accents.  The midnight blue border brings the rug together perfectly, echoing all of the accent colors in a garland of geometric flowers.  All colors in the rug are made from only natural dyes.  This is truly a top quality knockout oriental rug that is sure to make a statement in any room.
