This vibrant and charming vintage handmade tribal Persian Yalameh is a rare jewel. The classic geometric  pattern of footed diamond medallions is hand-knotted in intricate detail with colors made from natural  dyes.  This accent rug/throw rug was made with fine craftsmanship and a thick, sturdy pile that is full and soft and can withstand high traffic. It will continue to last generations. The strikingly vibrant colors create a beautiful and cheerful rug, with cherry red medallions surrounding a sand-colored central medallion framed by hunter green, with two little turquoise blue birds and small green and blue flowers.   The red medallions have stars and flowers in the same colors. The diamonds are surrounded by white "footed" lines that lead to the sapphire blue backdrop, filled to the brim with colorful small flowers. A lime green initial border leads to the cherry red border, a thick frame with a beautiful white necklace of colorful flowers.  This rug would be a wonderful gift, a perfect rug for children, entryways, bathrooms, kitchens, bedsides, etc. It can also be draped over a chair or couch or made into a fabulous pillow!  The rug is in perfect condition save for the fringes, which are distressed but intact and not fragile.
