This is a stunning handmade vintage Persian Sarough with a highly intricate tribal and floral design.  The beautiful colors are made with only natural dyes. The shades of blue, pink and rose in this rug are exquisite, and the incredible geometric floral detailing is a sight to behold!  The medallion is the floral heart of the rug with its pink tribal paisleys known as botehs (the antique tribal precursor to the paisley motif).  Small geometric motifs mingle with elegant flowers on the vine in an interconnected and perfectly symmetrical pattern that fills the ocean blue backdrop with pink, ivory, rose, champagne, white and shades of blue.  The cornflower blue corners with their floral flourishes echo the medallion and lead to the rose red border.
