This vintage handmade Persian Hosseinabad gallery size runner is a brilliant violet blue with a classic allover tribal & floral design known as a “fish design”. The small curves that resemble feathers are meant to represent fish which alternate with the other small motifs amongst the trellis-like pattern. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition. Made of fine quality wool, this village-made tribal rug has a sturdy, thick pile that is great for high traffic areas and will last generations. The size is known as gallery size, with its wide and long  dimensions — perfect  for large hallways and entrances, in front of couches and beds, etc. The repeating geometric and flower motifs are hand-knotted in rich raspberry and turquoise with pale pink, ivory and midnight blue. The border is a highly decorative and complementary frame in ivory with a wide zig zag pattern in all of the rug’s shades of pinks and blues. All colors are made from only natural dyes.
