This is a fine quality handmade vintage Persian Hamedan runner. Its floral design is based on antique Persian Sarough Lilihan patterns. It was hand-knotted with lush, rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Handmade in the 1990s, this runner is made with fine quality wool that has a sheen to it in the light, and it is in mint condition.  The rug's intricate floral sprays fill the bright red open field, revolving around a delicate series of central floral bouquets and a beautiful medallion, all of which are framed by colorful and charming ribbons of beautiful small flowers on midnight blue, champagne and sapphire blue backdrops.  The elegant, crisp floral sprays are hand-knotted in an incredible array of rich, vibrant colors - bright royal blue really pops against the red, along with midnight blue, turquoise, gold, copper, shell pink, plum and countless other colors.  This runner is handmade with a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  It is a very special and elegant piece in a versatile small size.  Size: 2'6"x7'3"
