This fine quality vintage gallery size Persian Hamedan runner is hand-knotted in a Koliai design.  Handmade by expert tribal weavers, the rug has an allover tribal & geometric pattern with intricate details that fill the rug with pattern and color.  The rug is made with fine quality wool that is sturdy and great for high traffic areas. It will continue to last generations. The midnight blue background is a beautiful setting for the highly detailed accents and geometric motifs that are hand-knotted in many shades of pink, from pink lemonade to shell pink, pink coral to fruit punch.  Additional accent colors throughout include pale aquamarine, peach, champagne, violet blue, white, royal blue and countless others, all made from only natural dyes.  Three large diamond-like medallions in pinks and blues run down the center of the runner and serve as the focal points for the allover design.  They are adorned and surrounded with phenomenal tribal motifs.  The deep raspberry pink corners draw your eye to the complementary border, another striking feature.  The white border lightens and brightens the rug, framing it with intricate repeating geometric motifs that resemble hieroglyphics.
