The intricate allover floral and vine design is known as transitional, drawing inspiration from antique Persian rug patterns.  The lack of a medallion makes it versatile for any decorating arrangement in dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, etc. This rug was hand-knotted with fine quality soft wool, a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for precise and fine details and superb craftsmanship.  The pie is extremely thick and soft and can handle high traffic. The rug will last for generations.  A deep ocean blue backdrop is host to elegant floral sprays and bouquets, urns and leaves in abundant patterns that fill the rug's field.  The exquisite accent colors are muted shades of ballet slipper pink, aquamarine, persimmon, sapphire blue, teal green, cranberry, mint green, teal blue, tawny, ivory, pomegranate, peach, copper and countless others, all made from only natural  dyes. You have to approach the rug to truly appreciate the details and colors.  The border is a gorgeous complement to the rug, with an equally intricate and abundant garland of flowers on the vine in the same stunning colors against a pomegranate backdrop.  The border is itself framed by multiple thin rows of smaller flowers on the vine.
