This is a brand new fine quality rug handmade in India. It has a striking dramatic color palette of red & turquoise made from only natural dyes and a very thick, full, soft pile that is cushy underfoot, great for high traffic and will last generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and high quality wool.  The geometric design is based on tribal Kazakh patterns that date back centuries.  Here a series of three diamond medallions run down the center of the rug, hand-knotted in gorgeous shades of blue -- two azure blue medallions surround a turquoise medallion.  Accent colors for the charming bouquet of small geometric flowers that adorns each one.  Camel, olive green, navy blue, hunter green, burgundy and white.   The lush cherry backdrop is a striking contest to the blue medallions. A single row of small charming pinwheel flowers flanks each side of the rug.  They are playful and colorful and lead your eye to the geometric borders and dividing lines in the rug.  The white frame of tribal star flowers that completes the rug has a beautiful pattern, itself surrounded by rows of cross-hatched lines in all of the same colors. The bindings are knotted in thick azure blue and red alternating woven sections that add another decorative detail to the rug.  Size: 5'8"x7'9"
