The tribal, geometric diamond design is a hallmark of kilim rugs.  This rug has a cheerful, modern appeal with its bright colors and playful patterns.   Turquoise, orange, royal blue, purple, cherry red, taupe, yellow, ivory and copper create a striking pattern of stepped diamonds that run down the center of the rug.  This column is flanked by rows of smaller stepped diamonds in colorful boxes of all the rug's colors. This leads to the final edges of turquoise by the charming gray fringes and an electric serrated edge of colors on either side.  Subtle variations in the natural dyes create a soft softly striated texture that adds to the one of a kind handmade nature of the rug. Flat weave and thin pile, the hallmark of kilim rugs, the rug is practically reversible. It is fine quality and well-made, sturdy and great for high traffic areas. It will last generations.
