This unique handmade brand new Turkish rug is purposefully washed and heavily distressed, giving it an authentic antique look and the patina that comes only from natural dyes and handmade rugs.  The rug is several shades of pink, transitioning throughout the rug, with subtle differences that seem to change with the light and the height of the pile, primarily lemonade pink and rosewood, with areas closer to shell pink and carnation pink.  The geometric design is hand-knotted in a rosewood. It is more apparent in some areas, though faded throughout from the washing and distressing process. It is an intricate tribal design with a central medallion and smaller geometric motifs repeating throughout.  The colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The rug overall is heavily distressed with very low pile, but there are no holes or patches and the rug is sturdy and intact.  Handmade from quality wool, it has a dense weave and despite its uneven pile,  it can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Great on its own, it can also be used as an underlying rug for a layered look.  Size: 6'x8'9"
