This unique handmade brand new Turkish patchwork rug is purposefully overdyed, washed and heavily distressed, giving it an antique look and the patina that comes only from natural dyes and handmade rugs.  The rug is several rich, deep shades of purple and magenta, transitioning throughout the rug, changing with each piece of the patchwork along with the light and the height of the pile. Grape, lilac, and magenta, with visible magenta stitching that connects the pieces. There are beautiful floral designs hand-knotted in the rug, more apparent in some areas, though faded throughout from the washing and distressing process. The colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The rug overall is heavily distressed with areas of very low pile, but there are no holes and the rug is sturdy and intact with completed bindings on all of the edges.  Handmade from quality wool, it has a dense weave and despite its uneven pile, so it can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  Great on its own, it can also be used as an underlying rug for a layered look.  Size: 4'11"x6'7"
