This is a beautiful brand new colorful and fine quality handmade Turkish Oushak. It has a full soft pile that is great for high traffic areas and will last for generations. This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and quality wool.  The allover geometric design is known as a Viss design, based on Persian carpet patterns from the city of Vist.  The series of blue medallions that run down the center of the runner have intricate adornments and small tribal motifs within and surrounding them in steel blue, silver, sky blue, red, midnight blue, taupe and pale yellow. The persimmon backdrop (a rich shade of red orange) is a bold and harmonious contrast to the shades of blue. The border is a brighter shade of cornflower blue with repeating tribal flower motifs in all of the rug's colors, adding lemon yellow to the palette.  Colors are made from only natural dyes. The rug has a beautiful and intricate midnight blue design that precedes the border, adding an additional layer of decorative interest.
