This rug is made with fine craftsmanship and quality wool.  The allover geometric design is a hallmark of contemporary Oushak rugs, derived from antique Turkish Oushak designs that date back to the Ottoman Empire.  The series of geometric medallions that run down the center of the runner alternate between orange with yellow and white with blue, all against a royal blue backdrop.  Small tribal motifs adorn and surround the medallions, adding peach, camel, sky blue, hunter green, steel blue, charcoal, burgundy and white to the color palette.  The border is peach, framed by yellow and blue and hand-knotted with repeating motifs in all of the rug's colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.
