This rug was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers in a geometric allover design that is a hallmark of Heriz rugs.  The white backdrop is a perfect setting for the abundant leaf, flower, animal and other geometric motifs that are hand-knotted in precise detail and perfect symmetry in every color of the rainbow, all made from only natural dyes. Powder blue, fruit punch pink, royal blue, pale yellow, plum, shell pink, sapphire, mocha, rosewood, boysenberry, lavender, copper, and other elegant shades harmonize beautifully in their delicate and interconnected plant and charming animal motifs such as exotic birds. The border is a stunning and dramatic complement in midnight blue with a geometric lotus flower garland in all of the rug's accent colors.  This vintage rug has a full, sturdy pile that is soft underfoot and will continue to last generations.  The white backdrop doesn't photograph well in the outdoor shade, so the close-up photos are a more accurate depiction of the rug's bright and beautiful colors.
