This is a show-stopper of a runner, a vintage handmade gallery size Persian Zanjan in mint condition with brilliant colors and tribal details on a dramatic black backdrop.  This is a very fine quality rug, with high quality wool and fine and precise details from its high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch).  The chic black open field with bold red borders and geometric lines creates a  striking setting for the intricate geometric motifs that run down the runner in symmetrical rows resembling thin totem poles in spectacular and vivid colors.  The red thick interlacing lines create a series of black medallions down the center of the rug. The walkway hosts a series of lines of tiny tribal designs are hand-knotted in jewel tones of azure blue, tangerine, fruit punch, silver, yellow, gold, plum and countless other colors.   The border is a special feature of this rug, a thick red frame with a necklace of jewel like small medallions in all the colors of the rug, adding even more shades to the palette such a. This is surrounded by bright sapphire rows with charming small garlands of flowers on the vine.  Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this runner is in mint condition. It has a notably dense, thick, soft and sturdy pile that can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations.
