This is a truly spectacular handmade vintage Persian Tabriz of the finest quality with a stunning Sheikh Safi design. Hand-knotted by master weavers, this rug is made from the highest quality wool that comes from the softest parts of the lamb. It is handmade with superior craftsmanship and only natural dyes. The traditional floral and medallion design is exquisitely woven in intricate details by hand. The medallion design follows the pattern of the inside of the Sheikh Safi mosque's cupola, each individual leaf or petal in perfect symmetry. The colors are so unique and brilliant, they pop from the bright blueberry background.   The ivory center lightens the rug, an exquisite medallion adorned with fuchsia, turquoise, teal, grass green, sand, mocha, copper and lemonade pink. The petals or leaves that radiate from the central flower are hand-knotted in these same bright colors, adding dusty rose, hot pink, aquamarine and countless other incredible shades, all of which continue throughout the blueberry open field in swirling floral sprays and bouquets of flowers on the vine.  The medallion is echoed in the four corners, creating perfect symmetry and harmony.  The border is another incredible decorative element of the rug, a bright teal green frame resplendent with its own complementary design of ornaments and small flowers in all of the rug's beautiful colors.  The rug is dense and thick, cushy underfoot and able to withstand high traffic.
