This is a very beautiful and fine quality vintage tribal Persian Tabriz rug.  Handmade in the 1960s, it is in mint condition and has a soft sturdy full pile that can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations.  This rug was hand-knotted in Tabriz with expert craftsmanship, fine knots, quality wool and only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The design is a classic oriental rug style with bold geometric, nomadic designs and a large central medallion.   The intricacy of the patterns and the stunning array of vivid colors make this rug quite special -- burnt orange, peach, ivory, gray and Carolina blue create the center of the flower medallion, adorned in small flower and tribal motifs adding mint green and rust to the color palette.  From there, the colors and designs radiate out in exquisite detail on a midnight blue background, adding pink and taupe to the accent colors before the final layer of rustic red leads to the royal blue border, framed in thin layers of ivory with small colorful flowers on the vine.  The border is a gorgeous compliment to the rug, with its own larger flower medallions repeating in elegant details in all of the colors of the rug. You can get lost in the details!  Size: 3'5"x6'1"
