This is a beautiful and fine quality vintage handmade Persian Qashqai Kilim rug that can also be used as a wide and long runner, known as "gallery size". It's hand-knotted in a striking array of rustic shades of primary colors made of only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The allover contemporary striped design is full of intricate tribal stars and geometric motifs in finely knotted details, many of which represent natural elements such as lakes or mountains or even animals.  Muted shades of golden yellow, sapphire blue and rustic red are the primary colors of the rug, alternating stripes and adorned with ivory and black accents.  Flat weave and therefore very thin pile, also a signature feature of Kilim rugs, this rug is still great for high traffic areas and will last generations. It was handmade in the 1980s and it is mint condition.  Note that this beautiful piece can also be used as a tapestry or wall hanging or even as the upholstery for an ottoman.  Size: 5'4"x10'9"
