This rustic handmade vintage Persian Shiraz Qashqai runner was hand-knotted in the 1950s and is in mint condition with an even, low pile. The allover tribal and nomadic design has intricate details in beautiful colors that have the unique patina of vintage rugs made with only vegetable and other natural dyes. The rug is predominantly a beautiful rich shade of deep indigo/sapphire with rose coral geometric designs and border.  The small floral and tribal details are woven in gold, rust, teal green, white, walnut and camel.  The charming details include tiny pinwheel flowers and small diamond repeats. The border has ribbons of tiny repetitive geometric motifs in the same colors - small waves and flowers in endless patterns that will keep you enthralled for hours. This rug has an even, thin low pile thanks to its age and is remarkably in perfect condition, can withstand high traffic and will continue to last for generations.  Size: 3'11"x9'10"
