Beautiful vintage handmade Persian Serab runner, with a classic tribal & nomadic pattern that is hallmark of rugs from this region. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is made of fine quality wool with a thick and soft full pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. The runner is slightly distressed, with color running in some areas, but other than that it is in perfect condition. The bold geometric medallion pattern is handwoven in vivid colors made of only natural and vegetable dyes, with several areas of abrash, which is the natural variation in vegetable dye colors that occurs in vintage handmade rugs. Crimson red, sapphire, indigo, champagne, burnt orange, walnut and ivory harmonize beautifully in this piece. Note the charming florets along the borders and the intricate geometric details within the medallions. Size: 3'9"x9'7"
