This is a very fine quality vintage handmade Persian Senneh runner in mint condition.   The tribal and geometric allover design is a hallmark of Senneh rugs.   Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition and made of fine quality wool.  The notably thick, soft full pile is plush underfoot, great for high traffic areas and will last generations.  The bold geometric diamond-like pattern is an ivory design with intricate details in shell pink, rosewood pink, and plum, with alternating additional accents in beautiful shades of Tiffany blue, fern green, silver, sage, gold, olive green and mint green.  Midnight blue is used to outline each element of the design, which makes it pop against the warm strawberry red open field that surrounds the row of central medallions.  This leads to a midnight blue backdrop in which the whole central motif rests. From afar, it appears to be a solid blue, but the beautiful details in olive green, coral pink, plum and copper become more apparent as you get closer.   The border is a special feature of the rug, framed by two thin rows of charming small flowers in the vine against a pale sky blue backdrop, the border is a bright strawberry red thick frame for the rug with an elegant complementary design in all of the rug's beautiful colors, all made from only vegetable & other natural dyes.
