This is a handmade fine quality vintage Persian Sarough Viss with the softest, thick pile and most brilliant colors.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this rug is in mint condition.  A traditional floral and vine design with a spectacular central medallion and matching corners is beautifully hand-knotted on a warm coral background with stunning azure blue accents throughout.  The diamond central medallion is an elegant focal point with an ivory center and midnight blue surrounding, with shell pink, orange, pale gold and lemonade pink petals and floral details swirling throughout.  These same colors continue in the coral open field, creating flowers that come alive in swirling leaf and vine motifs in the same beautiful colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The azure blue corners burst from the rug with ivory accents that brighten and lighten the rug even further.  The midnight blue border has its own larger format floral and vine motif with the same amazing colors, framed by rows of small pink triangles on ivory and and charming tiny flowers on the vine on azure blue.  This rug is made with fine quality wool that is extremely soft, thick and plush underfoot.
