Yellow Flowers

This handmade charming vintage Persian Sarough Mir runner has vibrant colors and striking details.  The allover repeating intricate tribal paisley (known as boteh, the ancient tribal precursor to the modern paisley) design is made up of tiny knots in white, yellow, red, hot pink, black and pale mint green, twinkling on a rich cherry red backdrop.  Much like a pointillist painting, you don't see all of the colors until you are up close.  The runner's bright white corners and border are particularly striking and playful, and the white lightens and brightens the runner, framing it in an intricate and intriguing geometric design of tribal figures and plants in all of the accent colors of the paisleys.  This is framed with black rows of repeating pink, red and gray jagged lines, edged with thin rows of red, yellow, mint green and black. All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This runner is perfect for high traffic areas and anywhere you want to add color and softness underfoot.  This rug is fine quality and has a full pile that will last generations. Note that this runner has some minor areas of distress in the border, hardly noticeable - see last photo for close-up.  There is some slight color running, and some stitching that is visible in white and blue knots.  This gives the rug a truly authentic one of a kind feel, and also makes it a great price!  Size:  3'6"x10'
