Yellow Flowers

This is a very unique and somewhat whimsical runner. Fine quality and handmade, this vintage Persian Sarough Mir is both charming and intriguing in its imperfections and irregularities.  The allover repeating intricate paisley design is known as a boteh design, the ancient tribal precursor to the modern paisley. The runner is unique in that the paisley motifs are much larger than is typical for a Sarough Mir, and the colors shift throughout the course of the rug in surprising ways, a sea of undulating paisley motifs.  Hand-knotted in black and white, azure blue, sapphire blue, lemonade pink, dusty rose, silver, steel blue and sand, the botehs shift colors in an ombre-like effect that is incredibly unique.  These paisley motifs rest in rows on a strawberry red  backdrop with magenta undertones.  All of this is framed by a thick white ribbon with an intriguing repeating geometric motif that almost resembles hieroglyphics, woven in intricate detail in the same beautiful colors of the rug.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Perfect for high traffic areas, this runner has a full sturdy pile that will last generations. Size: 4'x11'6"
