This handmade fine quality vintage Persian Sarough Mir runner has an allover repeating intricate paisley (known as boteh, an ancient precursor to the paisley) design. Each boteh is made up of tiny knots of sapphire blue, lemonade pink, white lilac purple and pale silver on a bright red background.  The border is particularly striking and intriguing - a bright white frame that lightens and brightens the runner with an intricate geometric repeating motif that resembles hieroglyphics. The designs are hand-knotted in all of the rug's colors, and surrounded by thick bands of bright sapphire blue with charming motifs in red, white and black.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This runner is perfect for high traffic areas and anywhere you want to add color and softness underfoot.  This rug is fine quality and has a full soft pile that will last generations.  Size:  3'9"x10'3"
