This handmade fine quality vintage Persian Sarough Mir runner is in mint condition.  The allover repeating intricate paisley (known as boteh, an ancient precursor to the paisley) design is made up of tiny knots of royal blue, azure blue, pink, red, black and white on a red background that shifts slightly from strawberry to cherry to rose pink in a beautiful effect known as abrash, the natural variation in vegetable dyes that occurs in vintage handmade rugs.  The border is particularly striking and intriguing - a bright white frame that lightens and brightens the runner with an intricate geometric repeating motif that resembles hieroglyphics. The designs are hand-knotted in all of the rugs colors, and surrounded by thick bands of bright sapphire blue with charming red and white motifs.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  This runner is perfect for high traffic areas and anywhere you want to add color and softness underfoot.  This rug is fine quality and has a full soft pile that will last generations.  Size:  3'9"x10'7"
