This vintage handmade Persian Sarough Mir is a fine quality piece with a geometric and tribal design with delicate paisley or boteh motifs throughout.  The border is particularly striking with layers of ribbons full of repeating small tribal and geometric motifs in subtle and unique shades of shell pink, perwinkle, moss, brick red, and midnight blue punctuated by ivory and black.  The small paisleys are hand-knotted in a similar colorway with a surprising array of colors in such a tiny pattern.  Note the hints of lime green, fern green and coral that dot each paisley, colors that are all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  The ivory central medallion is mirrored in the corners and borders, adding brightness to the rug. Perfect for high traffic areas, this rug has a soft thick pile that you can sink your feet into.  It has fine details, a high knot count or KSPI (knots per square inch) and is made with soft, fine quality wool that will last generations. The rug has very light distress in a few small areas of the border - see last photo for details.  Size: 7''3"x11'
