This is a beautiful vintage blue/violet Persian Sarough Mahal runner that was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition, with a little stitching on the bindings in a different shade of blue. Great for high traffic areas, this elegant floral runner is handmade with a soft, supple pile and a sturdy weave that will last for generations. The colors of this runner are really spectacular, and all made with vegetable and other natural dyes. This runner is like a basket of summer fruits -- blueberry for the backdrop, watermelon pink for the border and corners and pairs of flowers around the edges that look like cherries. The ecru medallion adds a bright focal point for the rug with its intricate geometric and floral repeating pattern in periwinkle, teal, Carolina blue, ballet slipper pink, coral, ivory, walnut, camel and burgundy with black accents and countless other colors. The beautiful watermelon border has a charming pattern of small flowers and vines with an electric blue edge. Size: 3'6"x10'6"
