This is an absolutely stunning vintage handmade very fine quality Persian Sarough Mahal runner.  It is in mint condition, handmade with expert craftsmanship and fine quality wool which makes for a full, soft pile that is great for high traffic areas and will last generations.  The floral and vine motifs create a versatile allover design,  hand-knotted in fine detail and luxurious, elegant colors.   The backdrop is a luscious and bright royal blue, a gorgeous setting for the flowers and vines that intertwine in an endless and beautiful display that appears almost as if it is painted in brushstrokes rather than knotted with wool. The delicate flowers, leaves and vines are shell pink, fruit punch, raspberry pink, sapphire, turquoise, azure blue, peach, lemonade pink, lilac, pale yellow and bright white. The leaves and vines are lime green with hints of chartreuse.  The runner's ample floral motifs create a garden in full bloom.  The elegant flourishes, floral sprays and blooms are captivating, and perfectly framed by a watermelon pink border with its own complementary flowers on the vine in many of the same wonderful colors, all made from only vegetable & other natural dyes.
