This is a versatile vintage handmade fine quality Persian Sarough Mahal runner with a bright and cheerful allover design. Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition with a full pile made from fine quality wool that can withstand high traffic areas and will continue to last for generations. The intricate repeating floral and vine and other small geometric motifs create an allover pattern on the lush backdrop of cherry red. The details are knotted by hand in a beautiful array of blues and pinks: turquoise, royal blue, midnight blue, shell pink, dusty rose, boysenberry, teal, silver and sand, all punctuated by bright white. The sand border has a charming garland of small flowers on the vine, framed by bright sapphire rows with small red diamonds. All colors are made from only vegetable & other natural dyes.
