This is a beautiful fine quality vintage violet Persian Sarough Mahal runner that was hand-knotted in the 1980s and is in mint condition.  Great for high traffic areas, this elegant floral runner is handmade with a soft, full pile and a sturdy weave that will last for generations.  The colors of this runner are really spectacular, and all made with vegetable and other natural dyes.  It is a flower garden in full bloom, a highly detailed pattern of tiny flowers around a lattice-like motif, hand-knotted in shades of pink. The design revolves around a beautiful large pink coral medallion, with similar flower and geometric motifs.  These designs are hand-knotted throughout the rug in taupe, sage, ballet slipper pink, purple, sky blue, silver, white and countless other colors.  The border is another wonderful feature of the runner with its architectural frame in ivory, with a charming garland of small flowers on the vine in shades of pink.
