This is a vintage handmade fine quality Persian Sarough Mahal runner in mint condition with a dense and sturdy pile and fine quality wool.  This runner is made with superior craftsmanship and noteworthy for the incredibly intricate details. It is great for high traffic areas and will last generations.  The runner's design revolves around a delicate central medallion and elaborate matching corners.  The highly detailed pattern fills every corner of the rich sapphire blue backdrop with tribal flowers and other fine geometric motifs, hand-knotted in fine detail and striking colors. The medallion and corners are ivory, which lightens and brightens the rug, and the accents are hand-knotted in white, crimson, Tiffany blue, bright turquoise, carnation pink, pale peach, mint green, aquamarine, shell pink, cornflower blue, hunter green, lavender and countless other colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. This runner is a Spring garden in full bloom.  The crimson border has its own complementary design of pink, blue and white small flowers on a hunter green vine, and the rug is framed by a final edge of cornflower blue and sapphire.  Note that this runner has a unique element of an asymmetrical pattern - there is more hunter green on one end of the runner than the other, making it a truly unique and one of a kind piece.  Size: 3'5"x10'5"
