This is a very fine quality handmade vintage Persian Sarough Lilihan runner. Its floral design is based on antique Sarough rug patterns, and it was hand-knotted with incredibly rich colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. Handmade in the 1980s, this runner is made with fine quality wool and it is in mint condition.  The rug's intricate floral sprays fill the strawberry red open field, revolving around a delicate series of central floral bouquets and a beautiful pink and blue medallion, all of which is framed by colorful and charming ribbons of small flowers on rows of royal blue, ivory and rose pink.  The elegant, crisp floral sprays and bouquets are hand-knotted in an incredible array of rich, vibrant colors - turquoise, lemonade pink and bright cerulean blue really pop against the red, along with countless intricate details in teal green, silver, sea green, gold, midnight blue, sage green, taupe, copper, shell pink and countless other colors.  This runner is handmade with a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  It is a very special and elegant piece.  Size: 3'6"x11'6"
