Antique 1930's lightly distressed handmade Persian Sarough accent rug. Allover traditional floral and urn design on a muted tomato red background that shimmers in the light, and the colors seem to change depending on the angle at which the light hits the rug. The border is a deep midnight blue so profound it can almost appear black, and both the border and the open field are decorated with abundant and intricate floral and vine motifs in sapphire and indigo, peach, pale olive green, dusty rose, ivory, sage and countless other colors. These beautiful colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes and have the unique patina of antique rugs. The rug has slight distress as seen in the close-up photo and low pile throughout. Otherwise, it's in perfect condition with no holes or tears or patches.
