This is a stunning antique Persian Sarough with an intricate floral & medallion design and a rich red open field.   Tomato red open field with elegant floral designs in pale yellow, gold, pale orange, ivory, peach, raspberry, teal, sea green, muted blue and elegant black.  All colors made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Note that this rug has a light side and dark side depending on the angle of the light, so the red can be darker or lighter depending on the rug's direction.  Fine craftsmanship. This rug was hand-knotted in the 1950s, and has a few areas of low pile and an imperfect fringe. It is otherwise in excellent condition.   Size: 8'9"x12'1"
