This is a stunning and truly unique vintage handmade Persian Qum with a spectacular pastel color palette and incredibly fine details.  This is a fine quality rug made by hand with high quality wool that has a sheen to it and superior craftsmanship as evidenced by the highly detailed floral designs hand-knotted throughout. The allover floral pattern of sprays and bouquets is a traditional Persian Sarough design that is also timeless, often described as Victorian. The background color is elusive and ephemeral, champagne from one direction and a silvery shade of pale moss green from the other.  This is decorated with abundant floral and vine motifs in pastel colors and jewel tones that sparkle in the light - turquoise, copper, gold, lavender, periwinkle, midnight blue, magenta, burnt orange, mint green, Tiffany blue, moss, grass green, ocean blue and countless other colors, punctuated by elegant white and black accents.  All colors are made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. The border is another spectacular feature of this rug. The mauve frame complements the rug perfectly, adorned with a beautiful equally deicate floral and vine pattern in the same colors.  This is surrounded by tin rows of chartreuse with tiny garlands of flowers on the vine, a green and white repeating small motif and then a final border of copper with white motifs throughout.  This is a one of a kind vintage piece - a true collector's item.  The pile is sturdy and can withstand high traffic.  Size: 4'8"x6'7"
