This vintage handmade Persian Qum is an extremely fine quality silk and wool piece of art for your floor (or could be hung as a tapestry).  The high quality wool and silk accents are hand-knotted with fine craftsmanship and a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) that makes for vivid and precise floral details that burst from the lush cherry red backdrop.  The gorgeous ocean blue central medallion is the focal point of the rug with its white center and exquisite floral details in turquoise, lavender, fern green, olive and silver.  This is surrounded by elegant floral sprays in the same colors symmetrically woven throughout the red open field, leading to white corners that brighten and lighten the rug and showcase the beautiful accent colors. All of this is framed by a complementary border of ocean blue with a garland of flowers in all of the rug's exquisite colors.  All colors are made with only natural dyes.  This rug's traditional oriental rug pattern is a timeless classic.
