Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this rug is only very slightly distressed with a few areas of lower pile - see photo for detail. The central medallion, the traditional floral and vine details and the complementary border are beautifully hand-knotted on a crimson red background with a midnight blue border and a medallion that bursts forth in an incredible array of colors that harmonize exquisitely in periwinkle & midnight blue, peach, olive green, burgundy and sand with white, orange and teal accents. Mint green, ivory, fern green and pink are just some of the amazing additional shades that create the gorgeous flowers, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes. This rug is made with fine quality wool. The sturdy and soft pile can withstand high traffic and will last generations. It's a gorgeous rug with only a few areas of low pile.
