This is a true collector's piece.  It is an extremely fine quality vintage Persian Nain, handmade of silk and fine wool with a high knot count (KPSI, knots per square inch) and superior craftsmanship. It is signed by a famous weaver of Persian rugs named Habibian, known for the highest quality and finest materials. This Nain is known as a "6 LA" (meaning 6 layer) because of the fineness of its knots. The rug's exquisitely detailed geometric design is made up of delicate flowers, trees, leaves and plants, creating symmetrical patterns that surround the gorgeous central medallion and fill the rug's field and borders with their intricate beauty. The ivory background provides the perfect elegant setting for this highly detailed rug in many shades of blue -- cornflower blue, sapphire, ocean blue, pale turquoise, midnight blue -- along with plum, teal, pale heather gray, camel, ballet slipper pink, moss green, taupe, olive green and countless other colors made of only natural dyes.  The rug is made of fine soft wool with fine silk accents throughout.
