This striking vintage handmade Persian Nahavand runner is extremely fine quality and really stands out with its rich saturated colors and bold designs. It is made of fine quality wool, only natural and vegetable dyes and a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for precise details. It has a notably thick, soft, full pile that is great for high traffic and will last generations. The runner was hand-knotted by expert tribal weavers in a classic bold geometric tri-medallion pattern that runs the length of the runner. The rich, vivid colors and precise details seem to burst from the dramatic midnight blue backdrop of the rug. Gorgeous watermelon pink medallions contrast beautifully with the inky blue background, and the tribal flower details really pop in almond, crimson, plum, teal, white, ivory and purple. Black and white forms an edge throughout the runner's medallions and frames the interior design for a dramatic effect. The open field is a garden in full bloom, with tribal flowers in every shade of pink, along with accents in all the above-named colors of the runner. Crimson corners have their own complementary geometric designs, leading to the watermelon border, another special feature of this piece. A teal garland with colorful accents resembling flowers on the vine frames the runner perfectly. Size: 3'6"x10'
