This stunning antique Persian Mashad was hand-knotted in the 1940s and is still in mint condition.   It is made with very high quality wool and it is a signed piece, hand-knotted by a well-known weaver of the time. The intricate allover floral and vine design has spectacular colors and details, creating a spring garden in full bloom on a rich ruby pink background.  Each flower is a work of art, with layers of color and pattern, hand-knotted in sapphire, lemon yellow, ballet slipper pink, peach, aquamarine,  plum, teal, turquoise, tangerine, fuchsia, copper, mint green, dusty rose, cream, fern green and hunter green, azure blue, royal blue and countless other colors all made from fine natural and vegetable dyes.  The rug's border is a deep midnight blue, a perfect contrast to  the rug's open field.  The border is overflowing with its own complementary flower and vine design in all of the same stunning colors of the rug.  This rug is still in perfect condition with a soft full pile that is great for high traffic and will continue to lat for generations.  Size: 10'11"x16'4"-
