This is a fine quality vintage Persian Koliai runner, handmade with a tribal & geometric design, intricate details that fill the rug with pattern and intrigue, and a soft pile.  The rug is made with fine quality wool that is sturdy and great for high traffic areas and will continue to last generations.   The unique khaki background is an unexpectedly perfect setting for the highly detailed accents and geometric motifs that are hand-knotted in brilliant colors.  Three cerise pink and lavender geometric medallions run down the center of the runner and serve as the focal points for the allover design.  These same colors along with white, silver, taupe, lilac and plum fill the medallions and the open field of the runner with stunning colors, small flowers, diamonds and other intricate details that you can get lost in.  The complementary border is another striking feature, framing the rug with a series of rows of small charming flowers and larger geometric motifs on stripes of white, then lilac, then cerise pink, then khaki and a final row of silver and gold with a cerise pink thin binding stripe.
