This is a stunning and striking vintage handmade Persian Koliai runner of the finest quality.  Hand-knotted in the 1980s, this runner is made of fine quality wool that gives it a soft full pile, great for high traffic areas and it will last generations.  The runner is in mint condition and hand-knotted with a high knot count or KPSI (knots per square inch) for very fine and crisp lines. The bold geometric pattern runs the length of the runner, hand-knotted in cherry red.  What is so special about this runner is the color palette, pairing bright red with intricate details and diamond medallions of turquoise, carnation pink, midnight blue, teal, shell pink, mint green and other striking colors that continue along the edges of the runner all the way to the amazing border.  The border is a geometric garland of flowers and leaves in the same beautiful colors of the runner on a dramatic midnight blue frame, surrounded by thin rows of charming small blue and pink flowers on the vine, with a final edge that has repeating diagonal lines in all of the runner's beautiful shades.
