The chic small repeating diamond pattern in sand and ivory with midnight blue and tiny red and green flowers  creates a neutral and elegant houndstooth-like allover design that creates a lush, long walkway framed in the most spectacular bright colors.  The border and corners are the 'star of the show" - a thick midnight blue frame with bright tribal and geometric designs in a beautiful array of rich, saturated colors.  Emerald green, candy apple red, bright royal blue, yellow, purple, rosewood and white fill the border, creating playful and charming repeating geometric designs that enliven the rug, framed by two thin red rows with green ribbons.  The corners are another special feature of this rug, deep midnight blue with small tribal red and green paisleys, known as botehs, the ancient tribal precursor to the modern paisley.  Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this runner is in mint condition, has a soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
