This is a fine quality vintage handmade Persian Koliai runner with an elegant allover design.  The chic small repeating diamond pattern is hand-knotted on a sand/copper colored backdrop with ivory accents, delineated with midnight blue lines and tiny floral details in raspberry and sapphire blue. It's a neutral and highly versatile pattern. What makes it pop are the striking corners and the stunning border.  The corners are geometric and bold with blocks of color in strawberry red, bright sapphire blue, pale shell pink and emerald green, punctuated with midnight blue and white.  The border is an intriguing repeating geometric pattern in all of the rug's color on a midnight blue backdrop, framed by two rows of rosewood with charming small diamonds in all of the rug's colors, adding sky blue.  Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this runner is in mint condition, has a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
