This vintage handmade Persian Koliali runner is an extremely fine quality rug with a charming tribal design known as "elephant foot". This is a common motif in tribal rugs from the Middle East and a beautiful and versatile allover geometric pattern. Handmade with 100% wool, this rug has an incredibly thick, soft, full pile that you can really sink your feet into. It can withstand high traffic and will last generations.  The intricacies of the patterns and colors reveal themselves as you look closer.  A rose pink red is the backdrop for this runner with its small elephant foot pattern and other tribal motifs hand-knotted in sapphire, copper, ivory, green and black.  The border is really beautiful  with two sapphire rows of tiny colorful repeating small flowers on the vine framing a series of small tribal motifs in the same rustic colors on copper.
