This is an elegant vintage handmade Persian Koliai that can be an area rug or  a "gallery size" runner in a large hallway or entryway. The chic small repeating diamond-like pattern of sand, and ivory is punctuated with small pink and blue flowers and separated by sapphire lines. This creates an elegant and subtle backdrop for a stunning central floral medallion in exquisite details and colors, along with beautiful corners and borders.  The regal flower in full bloom at the center of the rug is hand-knotted in turquoise and royal blue, white and rose coral, cornflower blue and shell pink. These colors are echoed in the corners with intricate, elegant details and rich crimson color.  The border is a thick ribbon of repeating geometric motifs in navy blue, shell pink and turquoise, framed by crimson rows of small charming flowers in all of the colors of the rug.  This creates a very luxurious rug in both look and feel.  Hand-knotted in the 1980's, this rug is in mint condition with a full, soft pile that can withstand high traffic and will last generations.
