This fine quality vintage handmade Persian Koliai rug can also be used as a wide "gallery size" runner. It will stand the test of time and continue to last generations. Hand-knotted by expert tribal village weavers in the 1980s, this runner is in mint condition and made with superior craftsmanship. The wool has a lustrous quality to it, and the dyes are all made from vegetables or other natural sources.  The three bold geometric medallions run down the center of the rich royal blue rug in a color best described as persimmon - red with orange undertones.  The medallions are full of colorful small pinwheel-like flowers in carnation pink, Tiffany blue, tangerine, orange, crimson and ivory. The rich blue backdrop hosts charming tree-like motifs with the same colorful tiny circles, like so many candies waiting to be unwrapped!
