This is a fine quality vintage handmade tribal and geometric Persian Khoy runner in mint condition with a beautiful allover design and the unique variations in color, known as abrash, that only occurs in rugs handmade with natural dyes.  This rug is made with soft wool that is dense and thick.  It can withstand high traffic and will continue to last generations.  Rows of tribal and geometric repeating motifs are hand-knotted in incredible intricacies.  Many of the geometric motifs are known as "guls" which usually represent natural elements such as lakes and mountains.   Others represent flowers and stars and even animals.  They are hand-knotted in shades of lemon yellow, emerald green, pale gold, moss green, mint green, sky blue, rust, brick red, the palest shade of pink  and white, all against an inky midnight blue background.   This runner also has a stunning thick complementary border, with multiple rows of geometric flowers and leaves in the same warm colors, all made from only vegetable and other natural dyes.  Size: 4'11"x10'5"
